What You Can Do
With the help of many individuals, families, organizations and businesses, Lummi Island Heritage Trust has conserved over 1008 acres of the island's precious open space, native habitat and natural resources.
There are still many exciting land protection, stewardship, and educational opportunities on the horizon…and we need your help.
You can help sustain everything we do to protect land on Lummi Island:
We can’t do it without members, donors, and volunteers – like you.
You can join us in our work to leave a legacy of abundant plant and wildlife habitats, clean water, unspoiled shorelines, fertile farmland, and dense forests for the next generation of islanders.

You can help sustain everything we do to protect land on Lummi Island:
- Stewardship Programs that make certain the lands we protect are cared for and managed responsibly;
- Conservation Easements work to protect more land with private landowners;
- Outreach Programs that connect people with the land through geology tours, owl prowls, nature drawing classes, and programs for kids, like Nature Explorers; and
- Daily Activities that ensure the Trust remains a strong, sustainable organization, poised to take on the next land protection opportunity.
